A Time for Quiet
As Lent proceeds this year, I find that I don't quite take the time I thought
I would take for reflection and prayer. Maybe you are finding that too.
Yesterday, I got on line and brought up the website for which I have created
music over the last several months. It wasn't the music I wanted to hear, I know
that music all too well. It was the reflection I wanted to read. It took my
screen reader only about three minutes or less to read it but something happened
that was heartening. Just that small amount of time spent in reflection and
searching for meaning made my whole day a different day from the rest. There
seemed to be a warmth and liveliness in all that happened yesterday. Let me once
again suggest that if you want some brief moments of Lenten meditation, you
might go to http://www.d365.org If the music
pleased you, you might think about putting the CD of that music in your
collection. There are no words to get in the way, just gentle quiet music to
accompany your life. It's the kind of music you can put on while you are doing
something else and not be distracted by it.
I can't give you a sample of the reflections but I can give a sample of the
music. This one is titled
Quiet
Pastures.
