| FREE WHEELCHAIR MISSION BENEFIT CONCERT |

Ken was privileged to do a concert in Ashtabula, Ohio for the Free Wheelchair Mission Organization. Don Schoendorfer, the inventor of the $44 wheelchair for third world countries was raised in Ashtabula and came home from California for the event. The local community raised $60,000 for 1350 chairs to be shipped which will bring dignity to people who need them. The web site for more information is www.freewheelchairmission.org.

| GOODBYE, LEE |
|
Our very good friend and Jacob's Ladder writing partner, Lee Eshleman died on May 17. He was battling depression for many years and took his life. With sadness and grief, we remember all the wonderful days of creativity and the sensitivity Lee brought to our project to retell the story of the twin brothers Jacob and Esau. We will never forget the joy and depth he brought into our lives. The shock and sorrow will not fade quickly, if ever, and our hearts go out to his wife Reagan, his children and acting partner, Ted Schwartz. We do not have words for the love and camaraderie we felt working with Ted and Lee, or for the loss we feel. Rest, Lee, we shall miss you greatly!
